Moraes consults PGR on Flávio's visit to Bolsonaro before end of restriction
Defense requests resumption of visits or authorization for a family meeting before October 11

Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF), ordered the Attorney General's Office (PGR) to speak on the request for Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) to visit his father, Jair Bolsonaro, who is under house arrest in Brasilia.

The defense submitted the request a day after Flávio advances to the second round of the presidential election, in which he will face Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT). The referral to the PGR does not yet represent authorization for the meeting.
Restriction ends on October 11
According to the report, Moraes suspended, in July, the authorizations of Flavio to visit for 90 days. The measure was adopted after the minister concluded that the senator had acted as an intermediary in the dissemination of a political-electoral manifestation written by the former president.
The ban ends on October 11, a few days before the second round, scheduled for October 25.
Defense requests resumption of visits
In the main application, the lawyers request the re-establishment of the ordinary regime of visits to Jair Bolsonaro. The defence argues that a significant period has already elapsed since the imposition of the restrictions and states that there have been no new episodes justifying the continuity of the exceptional measures.
Alternatively, lawyers ask permission for a single visit by Flavio before the ban ends. According to the petition, the meeting would have an exclusively family character, with a date and time previously agreed with the place where the former president is under house arrest.
The defense also highlights the proximity of the end of the restriction to substantiate the request. With the determination of Moraes, it will be up to the PGR to present its statement on the request.
