My instrument is my voice (part two), by John Elvis Ribas Ramalho
GRATITUDE TO LISTENERS, PARTNERS AND SUPPORTERS

Speak up, gals of the Boca no Trombone Portal!
I would like to thank all those who voted for this columnist in the Best of the Year award 2026, in which I was elected Best Speaker and Professional Outstanding. A success that is repeated, since I also received this recognition last year.
It was a very fierce dispute, with several radio professionals being remembered and recognized. Some of them are even established names in the middle and, in my opinion, excellent professionals, many of whom have qualities that I admire and respect.
In my modest opinion, what makes a great radio professional today is not simply the power of the voice or the way it is set, but, above all, the quality of the program it presents and the interactivity with its audience. After all, without listeners, there is no point in a radio program having continuity. The audience makes all the difference and is fundamental, even from a commercial point of view.
I've never been a guy who sought great personal highlight. I have always enjoyed valuing the collective. Therefore, I can say that this award is not only mine, but also of the listeners of the Rock Light Club, a dream realized that has taken an impressive proportion and that, even, has already reached the audience leadership in some opportunities.
Today, our program is heard in more than 60 cities, thanks also to the partnership with the Bela FM Group.
But, like everything in life, our story started small. At first, I had to face disrespectful, discouraging, discouraging and even joking comments. Some hurt, but I just didn't care. And I am glad I did not listen to these criticisms, because if I had done so, nothing we have achieved so far would have been possible.
Even when I was a winner last year, some people, dissatisfied, scorned the achievement, laughed and even said that I was not even a radio broadcaster...
Well, well! With one more victory this year, it seems that all those evil comments have disappeared. At least for now, I'm not seeing or hearing anyone mocking.
I also want to highlight my partners Saulo Risada, Lígia Vosgerau and Badu, who are part of the Clube Rock team, in addition to my son, John Elvis Jr., our shirt 10. Everyone is fundamental to this achievement.
And I want to repeat: this award is from the program, the team, our listeners and the station that believed in the project and gave me the opportunity to do what I like most.
Therefore, making a small analogy, I leave here a message: do not care so much about the opinion of those who cheer against you. Keep living, working and dreaming. Always be humble, do not be dazzled by passing victories and do not be easily struck by defeats, criticisms and difficulties, because all this is also part of the walk.
And don’t forget something very important: treat people with respect, always. After all, as Cartola said: "The world is a mill..."
Life turns, circumstances change, and no one knows tomorrow.
VALUATE WHO STRENGTHENS YOU!
