The Civil Police of Paraná elucidated the murder of Antônio de Oliveira, 65, and arrested three people suspected of involvement in the crime. The operation was carried out on Friday (30), by the Homicide Police Station of the 13th Police Subdivision of Ponta Grossa. The investigators are two men, aged 39 and 47, and a woman, aged 52.
Anthony had been missing since October 18. The body was located on Friday, buried in the front of a residence in the Uvaranas neighborhood, where the suspects lived.
To carry out the search, the Civil Police had the support of the Fire Department, the Scientific Police and the dog Swagger, of the K9 Dog Training Center. The victim was buried under the ground, wrapped in a blanket and a canvas. After the location, the body was collected and referred to the Medical-Legal Institute (IML).
During the search of the property, the police also seized an iron bar that may have been used in the execution of the murder.
Crime was motivated by jealousy.
According to investigations, the three suspects were with the victim on October 18 and took her to the residence where the body was found. The murder was allegedly committed in the building's room.
After the crime, those involved would have cleaned the site and buried the body the next morning. The main suspicion about the motive for the murder is that it was related to jealousy.
According to the delegate responsible for the case, Wesley Vinicius, the Civil Police carried out uninterrupted diligences in recent weeks to locate the victim and identify the responsible ones. The evidence gathered during the investigation allowed the three suspects to be linked to the crime.
The suspects were sent to prison.
After being located, the investigators had temporary arrest warrants fulfilled. The three were interrogated by the police authority and presented different versions of what happened.
Then they were sent to the local prison unit, where they remain at the disposal of the Judiciary.
As investigations progress, suspects may be indicted for crimes of skilled homicide, concealment of a corpse and procedural fraud.
