Operário completes first phase of new Tobogã at Arena Espaço Smart
Operário Ferroviário completes 230 piles of the new stand at Arena Espaço Smart, in Ponta Grossa. Next phase should be completed by November.
The modernization works of the Arena Espaço Smart, stadium of the Operário Ferroviário, in Ponta Grossa, advanced another important stage on Friday (30). The club announced the completion of the first phase of construction of Tobogã 1, a new tier that will be located behind the goal, in the sector facing Padre Nóbrega Street.
In this initial stage, the teams completed the drilling and concrete construction of 230 foundation piles, all more than two meters deep. The structures will be responsible for supporting the new bleachers, which is part of the project to enlarge and modernize the Phantom Stadium.
The work is carried out by DMM Engenharia and Leman Incorporadora, together with other partners involved in the project.
New bleachers begin to take shape
Although most of the services performed so far are not visible to those who pass through the stadium, the completion of the foundations represents a fundamental advance for the continuity of construction.
According to Douglas Maneira, partner of DMM Engenharia, the completion of this phase prepares the ground for the next stages, when the structure will begin to take shape above ground level.
“Completing this first stage is an important step for the progress of the project. The stakes form the support base of the structure and represent the beginning of a sequence of fundamental steps for the construction of the new slide. So far, all the work has been concentrated below ground level, but soon it will be possible to visualize more clearly the evolution of the work,” he said.
Next step foresees construction of 60 foundation blocks
With the completion of the stakes, the construction of Slide 1 now enters the execution phase of the foundation blocks.
In total, 60 blocks will be built to connect the stakes and form the structure that will receive the prefabricated parts of the stands.
The expectation is that this new stage will be completed by the end of November. For the same period, the arrival of the prefabricated structures that will be used in the assembly of the new space for fans is also planned.
Arena Espaço Smart undergoes modernization
The construction of Slide 1 integrates a wider transformation project of the Smart Space Arena, in Ponta Grossa. The initiative seeks to modernize the stadium facilities, expand the spaces intended for the public and increase the capacity of attendance to the Operário Ferroviário fans.
With the advancement of the foundations and the anticipation of the arrival of prefabricated parts, the expectation is that the coming months will bring more visible changes to the structure of the stadium.
The new stands represent another step in the project of modernization of the Phantom House, which seeks to offer better conditions to receive matches and bring even closer the fans of the club.
