About 1.2 million students benefiting from the Half-Life program will be able to receive an extra payment of R$ 200 for participation in the National Exam of Ensino Médio (Enem) 2026. To ensure the incentive, students need to be completing the ensino médio and attend the two days of exams, scheduled for November 8 and 15.

According to the Ministry of Education (MEC), the additional payment is scheduled to take place between February 22 and March 1, 2027. The release of resources will depend on the confirmation of the completion of the ensino médio, information that should be forwarded by the educational networks to the federal government.

Who is entitled to the $200 bonus?

The incentive will be intended exclusively for students who meet the criteria established by the program. In addition to being beneficiaries of the Half-Life, participants must be in the last year of the ensino médio and hold the two days of the Enem.

Payment will not be automatic only by enrolling in the exam. It is necessary to meet all the conditions required by the MEC to have access to the additional value.

Half-foot can pay up to R $ 9,200 per student

In addition to the bonus for participation in Enem, the Pé-de-Méia offers financial incentives to stimulate the stay of young people in school.

Students can receive up to nine monthly installments of R$ 200, according to school attendance criteria. These values are available for use during the school year.

The program also provides for a deposit of R$ 1,000 for the completion of each year of the ensino médio. Unlike the monthly installments, this incentive can only be withdrawn after the completion of the teaching stage.

Considering all the benefits over the three years, including the additional one for participation in the Enem, the accumulated value can reach R$ 9,200 per student.

In order to maintain the receipt of the attendance parcels, students must present a minimum of 80% attendance in the classes. If the index is below the required, the corresponding payments may be blocked until the regularization of the frequency.

How to check the payments of the Half-Life?

The Ministry of Education provides a digital platform for students to follow the situation of the benefit.

On the consultation page of Pé-de-Méia, it is possible to check eligibility for the program, enrolment history, school attendance, amounts received and planned dates for the next deposits.

Information on the payment schedule can also be found on the Caixa Tem app and on the official MEC portal.

The program also includes students of Youth and Adult Education (EJA), who can receive up to four incentive installments per semester, totaling eight annual payments related to attendance.

The Enem events will be held on Sunday, November 8 and 15, throughout the country. Participants should be aware of official timetables, which follow the timetable of Brasilia.

On the first day, November 8, the Languages, Humanities and Writing tests will be applied. The application will last five and a half hours.

On the second day, November 15, candidates will answer the five-hour Mathematics and Nature Science questions.

On both Sundays, the gates will be opened at 12:00 and closed punctually at 13:00. The exams will begin at 1.30 pm.

The closure is scheduled for 7 pm on the first Sunday and 6:30 pm on the second.

About the Program Foot-in-the-Middle

Created by the federal government, the Midsummer is a financial incentive policy aimed at students of the public ensino médio who meet the requirements of the program.

The initiative seeks to reduce school evasion, stimulate attendance to classes and encourage the completion of studies, offering financial support during educational training.

The execution of the program relies on information sent by the state, municipal and Federal District networks to the Ministry of Education. (The information is from the Communications Department of the MEC)
