Military police seized 32 kilograms of marijuana during an approach to a traveling bus on Saturday night at the Ponta Grossa bus station. A 17-year-old was seized on suspicion of carrying the drug, which was hidden in two suitcases in the trunk of the vehicle.

According to a statement from the Military Police, equipe Choque received information passed on by the Integrated Force to Combat Organized Crime (FICCO) that a passenger of a bus with itinerary between Porto Velho (RO) and Criciúma (SC) was carrying narcotics. The suspect had boarded in Cuiabá (MT).

With the support of an area team and the CPU officer, the police carried out the approach of the collective in the premises of the terminal rodoviário de Ponta Grossa.

As they approached the boarding gate, the police noticed a passenger in suspicious attitude and with marked nervousness, who was already in a position to disembark. During the approach, no illicit material was found with him, but police located a damaged cell phone, possibly broken moments before the action.

According to the PM, during the procedure, the teenager spontaneously revealed that he was carrying an expressive amount of marijuana, packed in two suitcases in the luggage compartment of the bus. He also reportedly reported that he would receive R $ 8,000 to take the drug to Curitiba (PR).

The suitcases were located and the material sent to the 13th Police Subdivision (13th SDP), where the total of 32 kilos of marijuana was counted.

Because he was a 17-year-old teenager, he was given a voice of apprehension, and he was referred to the 4th Regional Flagrants Center, along with the drug. A tutor from the West accompanied the adolescent during the hearing and other legal procedures, since he is a resident of Curitiba and did not have a legal representative in Ponta Grossa.
