Ponta Grossa City Hall warns about scam promising R$ 1.050 aid via PIX
Ponta Grossa City Hall warns about the fake 2026 Reconstruction Aid scam, which promises R$ 1.050 via PIX. Learn how to protect yourself.

The Prefeitura de Ponta Grossa has issued a warning to the population about a new coup that is circulating on WhatsApp and social networks. The fraud promises the payment of an alleged “Aid Reconstruction 2026”, in the value of R$ 1,050, with the possibility of immediate withdrawal through the PIX.
According to the Social Welfare Foundation of Ponta Grossa (FASPG), the benefit disclosed in the messages does not exist. The scammers use visual elements similar to those of the Federal Government to give credence to the false offer and convince people to access a suspicious link.
In the message, users are asked to check whether they are entitled to payment. However, the address provided directs to a fake page, which has no link with official bodies and can be used to obtain personal and banking information.
Reconstruction aid 2026 is false
The City Council clarifies that the true Reconstruction Aid was an emergency measure adopted by the Federal Government in 2024, intended exclusively for families affected by the floods that devastated municipalities in Rio Grande do Sul.
The payment was made on time, as part of the actions to support the victims of the climate tragedy.
Currently, there is no program called “Reconstruction Aid 2026” available for residents of Ponta Grossa, and the promise of receiving R$ 1,050 via PIX is false.
City Council urges residents not to access suspicious links
Given the circulation of fraudulent messages, the Social Welfare Foundation reinforces the importance of redoubling care with offers of financial benefits received by messaging applications.
The recommendation is that the population do not click on unknown links, do not provide personal or banking data and avoid sharing messages that promise unconfirmed payments on official channels.
The City Council also directs that, before making any registration related to social programs, residents confirm the veracity of the information.
Where to find information on social benefits?
If you have questions about benefits, financial aid or social assistance programs, you can go to the Social Assistance Reference Center (CRAS) closest to your residence.
The units offer free service and guidance on the available social programs, the criteria for participation and the procedures necessary to apply for benefits.
The City Council stresses that the best way to avoid scams is to seek information directly from official channels and be suspicious of promises of easy money or immediate payments.
