Ponta Grossa City Hall will check hole in pole base after residents' alert

The Prefeitura de Ponta Grossa said it will make a check on Wednesday (7) in Rua Jabuticabeira, at the time of no 1308, where residents report the existence of a hole near the base of a pole.

The situation worries those who live in the region because of the possible compromise of the support of the structure. According to residents, there is a fear that the pole could fall if the problem worsens.

The case had already been registered with the Municipality through a protocol opened on August 31, 2026, with the subject "holes in paved streets".

According to the progress of the protocol, the request was received by the Secretariat of Public Services and forwarded to inspection and, subsequently, to the team responsible for the programming of the services.

Residents say they have already sought care

According to reports sent to BnT Online, residents had already sought the Ombudsman and also requested help from councilors to try to resolve the situation.

However, as of Tuesday, the problem remained.

Images sent to the report show the hole near the base of the pole, a situation that increased the concern of residents regarding the risk involving pedestrians, vehicles and nearby properties.

The City Hall will make an inspection

Searched for by BnT Online, the City Hall confirmed that the site will be analyzed.

“The verification will be done on Wednesday (07),” the Municipality said.

The inspection should indicate the situation of the road and if there is any compromise of the structure of the post.
