Prouni 2026: Inscriptions for the First Semester End This Thursday
Applications for Prouni 2026 for the first semester enter the final line and are still available until 23 hours and 59 minutes this Thursday (29). The process is free and must be carried out exclusively by the Single Portal for Access to Higher Education, using the login of the Gov.br platform.
The University for All (Prouni) Program, maintained by the Ministry of Education (MEC), offers full and partial scholarships in undergraduate courses from private institutions. The target audience are Brazilian students who do not yet have a higher level degree, including many young people from the Campos Gerais region who are seeking access to higher education.
During the registration, candidates can consult the available vacancies by course, shift, institution and municipality of offer. To participate in the selection process, it is necessary to have completed the ensino médio and have participated in Enem 2024 and/or 2025, with a minimum average of 450 points in the objective tests and a non-zero grade in the writing. The selection automatically considers the best average obtained between the two editions of the exam.
In the case of full scholarships, the monthly gross family income per person must be up to 1.5 minimum wage. For partial scholarships, the limit is up to three minimum wages per person. In 2026, the minimum wage is R$ 1,621.
The program also reserves scholarships for people with disabilities and for self-declared indigenous, brown or black candidates, within the affirmative policies provided by law.
In this edition, Prouni 1/2026 offers 594,519 scholarships, the largest offer ever recorded by the program. Of this total, 274,819 are full and 319,700 partial scholarships. Most of the opportunities are for distance learning courses, followed by face-to-face and semi-face-to-face courses.

The courses of administration and accounting concentrate the greatest number of scholarships offered. As for the type of undergraduate, the Bachelor's and Technological courses predominate.
The result of the first call will be released on February 3, while the second call is scheduled for March 2, always on the official Prouni page.
