Return to School in Ponta Grossa Municipal Network Mobilizes Structure with 32,000 Students and Nearly 5,000 Employees

The return to school in the municipal network of Ponta Grossa represents a great logistical and administrative challenge for the Municipal Secretariat of Education, considered the largest of the public structure of the municipality. According to the secretary Joana D'Arc Panzarini Egg, the network serves approximately 32,000 students and has nearly 5,000 servers, including teachers, clerks, trainees and outsourced teams.

Even during the school recess, the secretariat maintained continuous care and intensified the preparation work of the schools. The units underwent complete cleaning, brushing, gardens organization and received equipment such as refrigerators, stoves, watering troughs and kitchen utensils requested by the directions at the end of 2025.

The return of the teachers takes place on February 4, while the students return to the classrooms on February 5, finding organized environments ready for reception. Unlike in previous years, the Secretariat chose not to hold a compulsory pedagogical week, allowing teachers to use this period to prepare the classrooms and welcome students.

Another point that generates expectations among families is the delivery of uniforms and school supplies. The secretary confirmed that all students will receive new uniform in 2026, with the same model as the previous year. The logistics is already underway, with several cargoes received in the central shed of the city hall.

School supplies kits are also guaranteed. In the first days, students will receive an emergency kit and, subsequently, a complete kit, with personalized hardcover notebooks with images of Ponta Grossa, in addition to pencils, rubber, ruler, pens (for 4th and 5th graders), backpack and squeeze bottle - new this year.

In the area of infrastructure, schools like Bom Sucesso will undergo structural reforms, while other units receive expansions. The objective is to ensure that the physical space follows the quality of the teaching offered.

One of the biggest advances announced for 2026 is the creation of more than a thousand new places in daycare centers, thanks to expansions, new CMEIs and changes in legislation that allow more students per class, always with reinforcement of professionals.

To meet the demand, the Secretariat has also expanded contracts through teste seletivo and is preparing a municipal public tender in the first semester.

The final message of the secretary is of tranquility: parents can take their children to school without worrying about shopping, and professionals count on full management support for an organized, welcoming and committed to learning school year.
