The tunnel of the San Martin, at Ponta Grossa, will have new temporary blockages on Monday (26). The measure was announced by the City Council, through the Municipal Secretariat of Public Services, and is intended to continue the work of revitalization of the passage, located in the Neves neighborhood.
The interdictions will be carried out in two periods throughout the day, during the execution of the painting and installation of gutters. The guideline is for drivers to schedule their commutes and be attentive to the signage around the tunnel.

According to the Prefeitura de Ponta Grossa, the ticket will be temporarily banned at the following times this Monday (26):
Morning: from 8:30 to 11:00;
Afternoon: from 13:30 to 16:00.
Outside the periods reported, the forecast is that the circulation will be released. The City Council recommends increased attention during the execution of the works.
Tunnel has undergone revitalization works recently
The new locks are part of the continuity of the improvements made in the San Martin Tunnel, an important link between the San Martin Core and other areas of the Neves region.
The passage was reopened to transit on October 19, after structural interventions that included the replacement of the old asphalt pavement with concrete and the implementation of a new underground drainage system.
The improvements seek to provide better circulation conditions and reduce problems related to water accumulation during rainy periods.
On Thursday, the tunnel also went through temporary blockages for washing and cleaning services. Now, the municipal teams are moving forward with the painting and installation of gutters, steps planned in the revitalization process.
City Council urges drivers to redouble their attention
The Prefeitura de Ponta Grossa reinforces that drivers must respect the signage installed in the region and drive cautiously during work.
Those who use the San Martin Tunnel to access the San Martin Core or other Neves locations should consider the interdiction times when planning the route.
