The PSD candidate for the government of Paraná, Sandro Alex, said on Friday (11) that he intends to complete the outline of Ponta Grossa during a possible term at the head of the Iguazu Palace. The declaration was made during the Sabbath promoted by the Commercial, Industrial and Business Association of Ponta Grossa (ACIPG).

During the meeting, Sandro Alex discussed infrastructure projects for Ponta Grossa and Campos Gerais, as well as addressing investments in health, energy, economic development and Defesa Civil shares.

Speaking about the Outline, the candidate classified the project as one of the main works planned for the municipality.

“This is the largest work in the history of Ponta Grossa, valued at R$ 1 billion, half of the entire budget of the city. It was I, along with the governador Ratinho Junior, who included this work in the notice and now we are discussing the layout with the ACIPG and the whole society of Ponta Grossa. We will find a balance, since the outline tracing involves environmental protection areas. We need to have a contract that is workable,” he said.

“I don’t give up on this work.”

Sandro Alex also stated that it intends to keep the project within the current Paraná road concession model.

“That’s why I don’t give up playing this work and giving it over to our mandate as governor. I have been advocating for this project for several years. I will not let them paralyze the work, as my opponents have said,” he said.

The Ponta Grossa Contour integrates the new Paraná Road Concession Package. The project provides for approximately 42 kilometers of length, with double track in both directions.

By the project presented for the work, the connection will start on BR-376, near Trevo do Caetano, and will continue to the Industrial District region, again on BR-376, creating a connection through the northern and eastern sectors of the city and access to PR-151.

According to Sandro, the execution of the project will also depend on legal certainty and the definition of the route.

“It is the largest work of the Paraná concessions. Therefore, we must have legal certainty to touch the works. Let’s solve this bottleneck so that Ponta Grossa grows more and more,” he said.

Other works for Ponta Grossa and region

During the Sabbath, Sandro Alex also cited other interventions planned for Campos Gerais. These include the duplication of BR-373 in the Clock Clover region, and improvements in the PR-151 stretch between UTFPR and the Frisian region.

The candidate also highlighted private investments attracted by the Paraná Competitivo program, citing projects from companies such as Nissin and XBRI.

“This is all the result of the work of the management of the PSD,” he said.

Health and Hospital Universitário

Another topic addressed during the meeting was the extension of Hospital Universitário of the State University of Ponta Grossa (HU-UEPG).

Sandro highlighted the expansion works of the hospital structure and stated that the investments should significantly increase the capacity of the unit.

“It is the largest volume of works in the history of the institution, and we are now building a new building with resources also from the State Government. It will be the largest public hospital in the Paraná,” he said.

The candidate also mentioned resources destined for the deployment of the new oncology sector of Santa Casa de Ponta Grossa.

Energy in the field

In the area of rural infrastructure, Sandro Alex advocated the creation of a mechanism to help producers connect properties to Copel’s three-phase network.

Despite the advancement of the network in different regions of the Paraná, producers still face difficulties in taking the structure inside the properties.

“The quality energy is in the gateway and now we’re going to get it into the property,” he said.

Defesa Civil and temporary

The rains and storms that hit the Paraná have also entered the agenda of the Sabbath.

Sandro cited recent investments in Defesa Civil and said he intends to expand actions to prevent and respond to extreme weather events.

The state government this week delivered more than 100 vehicles for the Defesa Civil do Paraná, plus eight firefighting robots, with one of them destined for the Ponta Grossa. We will intensify our work to mitigate the effects of El Niño on our population with planning and structure.”

Sandro comments on growth in electoral research

At the end of the Sabbath, Sandro Alex also commented on the numbers of the latest Real Time Big Data survey on the Paraná government dispute.

The survey points to Sergio Moro (PL) with 35% of the voting intentions and Sandro Alex with 25%, a difference of ten percentage points. Requião Filho (PDT) appears with 21%. In the previous survey of the institute, released in August, Sandro recorded 23%.

“We are 10 points away from my competitor and we are moving forward. We have grown from the last survey to this one, and as the population becomes aware of the campaign and knows that I represent a victorious government, they adhere to our candidacy,” he said.

The poll heard 1,600 voters in person between September 4 and 7. The margin of error is three percentage points, for more or less, and the level of confidence is 95%. The withdrawal is registered under the number PR-08220/2026.
