Teacher is one of the fatalities in accident on BR-277 in Fernandes Pinheiro

A teacher who died in an accident on BR-277 was identified as Daniele Borges de Souza Lima, 41, a native of Goioerê. She is among the three people who died in a head-on collision recorded early Tuesday at km 222 of BR-277 at Fernandes Pinheiro in the Campos Gerais region.

According to information from serviço funerário municipal, Daniele is being veiled in the Chapel of the Vertical Funeral Home in Curitiba. The burial is scheduled for this Wednesday (23), at 17h, in the Vertical Cemetery of Curitiba.

The accident occurred around 1:25 a.m. and involved a car with Joinville (SC) plates and a truck with Palhoça (SC) plates. According to information raised by the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the car was heading towards Foz do Iguaçu, while the truck was traveling in the increasing direction of the highway, towards Guarapuava.

At the time of the collision, there was heavy rain on the stretch, a factor that may have contributed to the adverse track conditions. The dynamics of the accident will still have to be investigated by the responsible authorities.

With the impact of the crash, three occupants of the vehicle died at the scene. In addition to Daniele, a 41-year-old woman, two other men, 47 and 15, also did not resist the injuries.

The driver of the truck was not injured. So far, authorities have not released the full identification of the other victims involved in the incident.

The collision on BR-277 mobilized highway service and security teams during the early hours of the morning. The section needed attention from the teams to attend to the occurrence and withdrawal of the vehicles involved.
