Teams intensify work and Socavão Road will have only partial closures in Castro

The City of Castro detailed that the total and indefinite interdiction of the Socavão Road, at the time of the Lageado, will not be necessary.

The stretch suffered breakdowns during the rains that hit the municipality last week, causing teams to be mobilized to carry out the maintenance of the Road. The work was started after technical surveys found problems of subsurface water percolation (intense water infiltration into the soil below the pavement), which compromised the structure of the runway and caused episodes of soil sinking.

The maintenance service continues to be executed on site on Thursday (17), however, on a timely basis. In the event that a temporary interdiction of the road is necessary for the execution of any service, the closure will be made only for the necessary period, with the release of the section thereafter. “There was a total ban on the Estrada, but the Castro City Council will be able to carry out the work with partial bans during the execution of the service to avoid disturbances,” explains the secretary of the department, Eleandro Campos.

The City Council asks drivers to reduce speed and redouble attention, respecting the signage and the guidelines of the teams that are working on the road. During the construction period, the vehicular detour can be made by Estrada do Cunhaporanga.
