Residents of Tibagi affected by the storms that have affected the municipality can already request the loot calamity of the FGTS. The release is available from Monday (14) and the order can be made entirely by the internet, through the FGTS Application of CAIXA. The deadline to apply for the benefit ends on December 8, 2026.

Workers residing in Tibagi, who have an available balance in an account linked to the Service Time Guarantee Fund, and who comply with the rules established for withdrawal in the event of a calamity, can apply for release.

The worker may withdraw up to R$ 6,220 per linked account, respecting the available balance. Another criterion is not to have carried out withdrawal for the same reason in a period of less than 12 months.

Order can be made without going to the agency

The entire procedure can be carried out by mobile phone, without the need to attend a CAIXA agency.

Within the FGTS Application, the worker must access the withdrawal area, select the request option and choose “Public Calamity”. Then, it will be necessary to inform Tibagi as the municipality of residence and send the requested data and documents.

The worker may also indicate a bank account to receive the money. The credit can be made on account of the BOX itself, including the CAIXA Tem Digital Savings, or on account of another financial institution, without charge of fee for the transfer.

How to request the calamity withdrawal of the FGTS

The worker must:

Download or access the FGTS Application and enter the registration data;

Select “Request your 100% digital withdrawal” or access “Request withdrawal” and then “Request withdrawal”;

Choose the option “Public calamity”;

Inform the municipality and select Tibagi;

Inform the type of proof of address, ZIP code and residence number;

Attach the requested documents;

Indicate the bank account in which you want to receive the money.

What documents are required?

Among the documents that can be required are an official identification document, such as RG, CNH or passport, with forwarding of the front and back, in addition to a selfie of the worker holding the document used in the application.

A proof of residence must also be presented in the name of the worker, issued up to 120 days before the decree of the calamity situation.

Documents such as electricity, water, telephone, gas, internet or television bills, as well as credit card invoices and other proofs accepted by the institution can be used.

And who doesn't have proof in their own name?

The worker who does not have proof of residence in his name can still present other forms of proof.

One of the possibilities is to present a declaration issued by the municipality informing that the worker resides in the affected area. The employee’s own statement, containing full name, CPF, date of birth and full residential address, including ZIP code, may also be used.

In these situations, the data reported may be provided by the CAIXA in official Federal Government records.

If the proof is in the name of the spouse or companion, the presentation of a marriage certificate or public deed of stable union may be required.

Deadline ends in December

Residents of Tibagi who are entitled to the withdrawal should be aware of the deadline. The request will be available until December 8, 2026.

The FGTS App is free and available for Android and iOS phones.

In case of doubt, workers can seek information by WhatsApp 0800 104 0104 or seek in-person assistance at a CAIXA agency.
