In an event marked with the presence of businessmen and authorities, the Commercial Association of Castro (ACECASTRO), promoted the 6th edition of the Trophy of Gold 2026, which this year honored five names. The event took place at the Castrolanda Mill on Thursday night (17).

The purpose of the event is to recognize people whose trajectories are related to the economic activity and business life of the city. The realization of the Golden Trophy also counts on the participation of SECOM (Business Union of Retail Trade of Castro and region) and the Rural Union of Castro.

The honorees were Industry (Entreposto de Ovos Castro Ltda), Commerce (Bebê e Cia), Service Provider (Auto Mecânica Moers), Personality of the Year (Claudio Kugler, from Kugler) and Entrepreneurial Woman (Claudia Machado Floriano, from Spin Ferramentas). At each trophy handed over a video was displayed.

The report of the Portal Boca no Trombone accompanied the delivery of the trophies and spoke with two of the five honorees.

For businessman Claudio Kugler, the tribute was a surprise. “I had the Golden Trophy 10 years ago. It is a very good organization that recognizes the work of the citizens who are working and bringing results, bringing positivity and optimism to the region. I think that part is important. Recognition is a fantastic thing. I thank the union for the remembrance and choice.”

For the owner of Spin Ferramentas, Claudia Machado Floriano, it is a great joy to be receiving the award. “We started 16 years ago, a small store, a family store. Today we have more than 10 employees who are part of Spin Ferramentas. And it is a happiness to know that when we believe, when we have a dream, anything is possible. God prepares, God prepares moments. And we will, of course, have this vision, this determination, invest, because we believe in the city, we believe in Castro, we like Castro and I am very grateful to this city that has welcomed us.

Golden Trophy

The president of ACECASTRO, Ricardo Nuzda, commented on the importance of the event if you recognize the entrepreneur.

"The Golden Trophy was not developed to simply honor the year of the entrepreneurs, but the life of the entrepreneur. So, the Golden Trophy is a tribute to the business life of everyone who is in there. The Golden Trophy, for Castro, is to encourage that small businessman who is opening a door tomorrow, to look at these people and say that it is worth being an entrepreneur."
