Truck Driver Injured After Vehicle Capsizes on PR-239 in Arapoti
A truck overturned in Arapoti on PR-239 during the night of Saturday (31). The 44-year-old driver refused medical attention, according to SAMU.
A truck lap on Arapoti, on Campos Gerais do Paraná, was registered on Saturday night (31), around 10:40 p.m., on PR-239. The accident occurred at km 96.2 of the highway and involved a Mercedes-Benz truck pulling a semi-trailer. The driver, 44 years old, was reported as injured in the register of the State Road Police (PRE).
According to the information raised by the police team at the scene, the truck followed the PR-239, in the direction of Arapoti at the junction with the PR-090, towards Ventania, when the toppling occurred.
The vehicle carried a semi-trailer identified in the bulletin as SR/Metanox TQ. The circumstances that caused the loss of stability of the whole were not clarified in the report released.
Driver refuses medical attention
According to the State Road Police, the driver had a record of injuries resulting from the accident. However, according to information provided by the Mobile Emergency Service (Samu), the driver refused medical attention.
The man also did not remain at the scene, according to police reports. The document does not inform the severity of the injuries nor does it clarify whether he sought care in another health facility later.
No details were disclosed about possible damage to the highway structure, the need to ban the stretch or procedures for the removal of the vehicle.

The lorry toppling in Arapoti was registered by the State Road Police, through the Road Police Battalion (BPRv), linked to the Paraná Military Police.
The section of the PR-239 where the accident occurred is part of the state road network that serves municipalities of the Campos Gerais, including Arapoti and the connection region with Ventania.
