TSE: vote is free and threats will be repressed
In a national statement, TSE president Kassio Nunes Marques affirmed that threats and interference in the voter's will will be repressed in the first round, on Sunday (4). He also reinforced the security of the electronic voting machine and instructed voters on documents and procedures.

The president of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), Minister Kassio Nunes Marques, stated on Saturday (3), in a statement on national radio and television network, that threats, harassment or attempts to interfere in the will of the voter will be repressed during the first round of elections, on Sunday (4).
In the statement, Nunes Marques stated that election day is the "day of freedom of voting" and called on candidates and supporters to respect the decision of the voters. The declaration occurs on the eve of the vote, when the circulation of information and the movement of campaigns increases.
Freedom of voting is a priority
The minister also called attention to the information shared on the eve of the vote. In case of doubt, the voter should turn to the official channels of Justiça Eleitoral and verify information before sharing them.
The president of TSE also stated that voting is a fundamental right and the "main instrument of participation in public life". According to Nunes Marques, the decision “belongs exclusively to those who vote.” Speech reinforces Justiça Eleitoral’s commitment to process integrity.
Electronic Urn is 30 years old
Nunes Marques said that the electronic ballot box has been part of the Brazilian electoral experience for 30 years and said that the system brings together security, transparency and auditability mechanisms. The statement seeks to convey confidence in equipment used across the country.
One of the measures announced for this election is the invitation to the last two eligible voters to vote in each section to follow the closing of the vote. They will receive a ballot with the votes registered in that section. The document will have a QR Code that allows you to check the result by the BU app in the Hand, according to the speech.
Inclusion and accessibility in court
The minister also highlighted the Seu Voto Imports Program, created to look for people with disabilities or reduced mobility and members registered in remote communities, including indigenous peoples, quilombolas and traditional communities. The initiative aims to expand access to voting.
Nunes Marques recommended that voters write down on a sheet of paper the names and numbers of their candidates before attending the electoral section. According to him, the measure helps to ensure the desired vote and reduce the voting time. The president of TSE also recalled that electronic devices, including mobile phones, cannot be taken to the voting booth.
Timetable and documents for voting
The first round will be held on Sunday (4). Voting begins at 8 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m., at Brasília time, simultaneously throughout the country. Due to the different time zones, the time varies in the local times of some states.
To vote, you must present an official document with a photo. Among the accepted documents are RG, CNH, work card, passport, reservist certificate and professional wallets recognized by law. It is also possible to use the e-Title as an identification document if the application displays the voter's photograph. The title of paper voter is not mandatory.
Order of votes in the ballot box
In the statement, Nunes Marques reinforced the request for the voter to attend the section with an identification document with a photo and, preferably, with the electoral glue of paper already filled. This year, each elector will have six votes for five positions, since two senators will be elected. The order in the ballot box will be: federal deputy, state deputy, senator, senator, governor and president.
At the end of the speech, Nunes Marques again summoned Brazilians to the polls on Sunday. The expectation is that more than 150 million voters will participate in the elections throughout Brazil.
