UEPG offers free legal guidance to Ponta Grossa population this Saturday (23)

The State University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG) promotes, on Friday (23), a free legal guidance action in Ponta Grossa, aimed at the population that needs to clarify doubts about their rights and legal issues of daily life. The attendances take place from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at the Campus Center of the institution.

The initiative is organized by the Legal Workshop project, developed by academics of the Law course of UEPG. The proposal is to bring the legal knowledge of the community closer, offering information and clarification on different situations that involve Brazilian legislation.

What subjects can be clarified?

During the action, students will be available to guide residents on issues related to Civil Law, Labour and other areas.

According to Professor Regina Wolochn, coordinator of the project, among the main topics that can be addressed are:

Divorce and maintenance;

Inventory and inheritance issues;

IPTU and real estate matters;

Lease, purchase and sale contracts;

Contracts of employment;

Usurpation and rights to real estate;

Compensation for moral damages;

Traffic accidents.

The activity represents an opportunity for residents who have doubts about these situations and wish to better understand the legal procedures and the rights involved.

Free service will be held at the Ponta Grossa Center

The attendances will take place in the entrance hall of the UEPG Center Campus, located in Coronel Dulcídio Street, at the entrance of blocks B and D, in front of Manarin.

Participation is free and focused on the community. The university did not inform the need for prior registration to participate in the activity.

In addition to contributing to the access of the population to legal information, the project provides students with the opportunity to put into practice the knowledge acquired during graduation, through contact with situations presented by residents.

It is important to note that the initiative consists of legal guidelines, with no information on judicial representation or follow-up of cases.

New edition has confirmed date

Those who are unable to attend on Friday will have a new opportunity. According to UEPG, the Legal Workshop project will also hold attendances on November 27, again from 9 a.m. to 2.30 p.m., in the same place.

The realization of the activities reinforces the participation of the public university in initiatives that connect higher education to the needs of the Ponta Grossa community.
