Vehicle Stop Leads Police to Seize Drugs and Money in Ponta Grossa
Drug Trafficking in Ponta Grossa: Police Seize Cocaine, Marijuana, R$3,000 and Materials Used in Selling Narcotics After Stop
An action against drug trafficking in Ponta Grossa resulted in the seizure of cocaine, marijuana, money and materials used in the marketing of narcotics on Saturday. The incident was recorded in the Basílio Parabocz street region, after military policemen of the 1st Battalion boarded a vehicle during patrol.
According to the Military Police, the approach took place around 16:30 and was carried out by a team of the 1st Company. During the inspection of the car, the police found 81 servings of cocaine-like substance, in addition to cash.
The discovery prompted the military to conduct new diligences, which resulted in the location of other portions of cocaine, marijuana and equipment associated with the drug trade.
PM seizes drugs, money and equipment
At the end of the incident, the Military Police seized 316 grams of cocaine-like substance and 46 grams of marijuana, in addition to R$ 3,067 in cash.
Four precision scales, a cardboard machine, seven ziplock packs, two cell phones and a vehicle were also collected.
According to the corporation, the materials were found during the initial approach and the diligences carried out in the sequence.
Precision scales and packaging are among the objects often investigated in occurrences related to the narcotics trade.
Man is referred to the Civil Police
The man approached by the police was referred to the Civil Police Station of Ponta Grossa for the appropriate legal procedures.
The Military Police did not inform the age of the person involved or detail the locations where the post-approach diligences took place.
There was also no information on the possible participation of other persons in the occurrence.
The action was conducted by military police officers of the 1st BPM, responsible for policing in the region, and integrates the work of surveillance and combating drug trafficking in Ponta Grossa.
The seized materials were related in the balance sheet disclosed by the corporation. The case was referred to the Civil Police, responsible for the judicial police procedures and for the determination of the circumstances of the occurrence.
