The 19th edition of ExpoFrisia will be held from 12 to 14 November, at Carambeí, and promises to be one of the largest editions in the history of the fair. With free entry and parking, the event hopes to surpass the historic mark of 6,000 visitors in the three days and will feature nearly 80 exhibitors in a restructured and expanded pavilion.

Who highlights the importance of the fair is Leonardo Moreira Sviercoski, Quality Supervisor - Livestock Cattle of Cooperativa Frísia, who spoke with the BnT News on the morning of Friday (6). “It is a very important fair for agribusiness in general, but with a very large focus on dairy farming,” said Leonardo. According to him, the fair also opens space for other areas, such as agriculture and pigs, which reinforces the relevance of the event for the entire region.

Programming

The program begins on Thursday (12), with a day considered intense by the organization. The highlight is the talk of the journalist Kellen Severo, at 4 pm, on macroeconomics and milk, pork and agricultural markets, bringing a panorama of the current scenario and the impacts for the activity of the producer. “It’s an extremely important talk from someone who has a vast knowledge in this area,” Leonardo said.

On the same day the official opening of the fair takes place, followed by the meeting with the Bezerras Club, an initiative of the cooperative aimed at children. Throughout the year, they work with the animals on their farms, tending the calves to present them during the fair.

Afterwards, the Bezerras Club takes place, open to the population, so that everyone can take pictures with the animals. “It’s going to be a very interactive, very cool moment,” he said.

On Friday (13), the program begins with the trial of red and white cattle, one of the most important categories of the exhibition.

The closing, on Saturday (14), will be with the presentation and trial of the black and white cattle, ending in the late afternoon. The complete program is available on the official website of ExpoFrísia, with schedules and lectures from the other areas.

Change of date and expanded structure

One of the big news of this edition is the change of date. Historically held in April, ExpoFrisia moved on to November to better serve breeders in relation to the preparation of animals, as the region concentrates other important fairs.

“This change was made to the month of November to serve the breeders in relation to the preparation of the animals, so that it had an ideal window for the animals at this fair,” explained Leonardo.

The change was accompanied by a restructuring of the pavilion where the exhibition takes place, more than doubling the capacity of stands.

“We have almost 80 exhibitors in a new distribution, in a different distribution than we had. A great feature of our fair is that it takes place all in the same shed, in the same place, which makes it very easy because you have very easy access to everything,” he said.

In the center of the pavilion takes place the trial of the animals, allowing the visitor to accompany the exhibitors and, at the same time, prestige the presentation of the cattle around the track.

Public Expectations and Legacy

Historically, about 6,000 people pass through the three days of the fair. By 2026, the expectation is even higher.

“We understand that the expectation is high and we expect to have an even larger audience than that this year,” Leonardo said. For him, the 19th edition represents the union between tradition and innovation, highlighting the succession in the field.

“Our fair has a lot of history, we are already talking about the 19th edition. It has been mixing this question of innovation, of succession, a lot. Those who visit us will be able to observe a lot of technology, a lot of tradition too, because we are talking about breeders who will be taking their animals with their family, with their team,” he said.

Leonardo also highlighted the work of the producers throughout the year to prepare the animals and present the best at the fair.

“Our legacy is to maintain our tradition with innovation. The fair every year has been innovating, providing new situations to serve the public in the best possible way and so that people can understand all this work, all this dedication that agribusiness brings to our country, but especially dairy farming,” he added.
