The call for Seleção Brasileira for the final appointments of 2026 brought news and reinforced the bet of coach Carlo Ancelotti on a new generation of players. On Thursday, the coach announced a list of 26 athletes for the friendly games against Japan and Singapore, scheduled for November 14 and 17, respectively.

The announcement took place at the headquarters of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), in Rio de Janeiro, and marked the eighth call-up of the Italian coach at the head of the national team.

Among the highlights are the attackers Vinicius Junior, Raphinha, Estêvão and Endrick. The relationship also includes five debutants: Allan, Alisson Santana, André Luiz, Jonathan Jesus and Marlon Gomes.

Ancelotti bets on young people and accelerates the renewal of the national team

The main feature of the new roster is the presence of young players, who will have the opportunity to gain space on the team during the start of the preparation cycle for the 2030 World Cup.

According to the CBF, the average age of those summoned fell to 23.6 years. At the 2026 World Cup, the average was 29.6 years, while in the previous Data FIFA it was 24.6 years.

Of the 26 athletes selected, 15 are under the age of 23 and nine are of Olympic age. The strategy demonstrates the intention of the technical commission to expand the options and observe new talents in international matches.

During the press conference, Ancelotti explained that the period is important for testing players who will be able to join the National Team in the coming years.

The coach also stressed that the renewal requires patience and that the results of the friendly must be analyzed considering the development process of the team.
