Camber of PG decides today if Mazer's accusation against Zampieri goes to the Corregedoria

The Câmara Municipal de Ponta Grossa is due to vote on Monday (21) the possible referral to the Board of Directors of a representation presented by the councilor Guilherme Mazer (PT) against Ricardo Zampieri (PL). The case involves statements made by Zampieri during the ordinary session of August 24, when he mentioned alleged irregularities in the municipal legislature.

The representation, registered under Protocol No. 5081/2026, is on the agenda of this Monday’s session, in single discussion. The councilors shall deliberate on the referral of the case to the Corregedoria, in accordance with article 16, paragraph VII and single paragraph, of the Internal Rules of Procedure of the Chamber.

The vote represents a new stage in an episode that began with a discussion between the two parliamentarians and resulted in a formal request for Zampieri to present evidence of the statements made in the gallery.

Understand what happened

During the August 24 session, Ricardo Zampieri stated that a possible new operation of the Special Action Group to Combat Organized Crime (Gaeco) in the House could result in the fall of several councilors. The parliamentarian also mentioned alleged “bags” and situations that, according to him, would be of general knowledge.

The statements provoked the reaction of Guilherme Mazer, which questioned the absence of specific information about the facts mentioned by the colleague. In the assessment of the petista councillor, the demonstrations cast suspicions on members of the Legislative without the presentation of names, concrete episodes or supporting documents.

In the face of the situation, Mazer filed a representation in the Presidency of the House on August 31 requesting that Zampieri be officially notified to present the documents that would support his claims. The request provided for a period of 48 hours for the presentation of evidence, as provided for in the House Rules of Procedure.

What will be decided on Monday?

The new thing is that the representation has reached the voting agenda of the plenary. According to the Agenda, the councillors will have to decide whether the case will be referred to the Corregedoria of the Câmara Municipal for analysis.

The document establishes that the deliberation will be carried out in a single discussion, based on the Rules of Procedure that deals with the forwarding of complaints made by parliamentarians.

Importantly, the vote does not represent a definitive judgment on Zampieri’s statements or the automatic application of any punishment. What will be under discussion is the referral of the representation to the instance responsible for the analysis of the case, which may examine the facts and adopt the appropriate measures.

The inclusion of the matter in the Agenda does not allow to state, in itself, whether Zampieri presented documents in response to the representation or what was the content of any demonstration of the parliamentary. This information depends on consulting the documents that make up the administrative process.

It began with a discussion between the councilors.

The representation is an unfolding of an episode that occurred on August 24, when Guilherme Mazer and Ricardo Zampieri starred in a discussion during the ordinary session of Câmara Municipal.

At the time, the parliamentarians exchanged accusations and the president of the House, Dr. Erick (PV), had to temporarily interrupt the work. During the disagreement, Mazer accused Zampieri of using his demonstrations in social media posts. The PL councilman, for his part, claimed to be the target of attacks promoted by political opponents.

The discussion led to the suspension of the session for approximately five minutes. Subsequently, statements about a possible new operation of Gaeco and the existence of alleged “bags” motivated the presentation of the formal representation by Mazer.

With the subject included in Monday’s agenda, it will be up to the plenary to decide on the possible referral of the situation to the Corregedoria. Until the publication of this matter, the documentation consulted did not present the result of the vote scheduled for this Monday (21).
