Car Car on the wrong way causes truck overturn and blocks BR-376 in Ponta Grossa
Accident happened in the early morning of Thursday (14). The car driver had injuries and the truck driver was not hurt.
An accident totally forbids the BR-376, at km 466, in Ponta Grossa, since the early morning of Wednesday (14). The occurrence was recorded around 4:50 a.m., in the north direction, Ponta Grossa to Londrina.
According to preliminary information from the Federal Highway Police (PRF), a Fiat Uno was traveling on the back of the highway, coming to meet a truck. While attempting to deflect to avoid the frontal collision, the truck driver lost control of the steering and fell over the lane, completely blocking the north direction.
The driver of the Fiat Uno was injured and was rescued by the team of the dealership that manages the stretch and referred to the Hospital Universitário (HU-UEPG). The driver of the truck was not injured.
So far, the track was still completely barred in the north. Dealership teams work on removing the cargo vehicle and releasing the highway.
Drivers heading north should redouble their attention and seek alternative routes.
