In a note sent to BnT Online, the Municipal Secretariat of Education reported that the School Food Sector supervised the kitchen on Wednesday (28) and identified health nonconformities. According to the folder, the situation was communicated to Vigilância Sanitária, who was in the unit the next morning.

The City Council foresees improvements and counting

According to the Secretariat, interventions are planned between Friday (30) and Monday (2). The objective is to allow an assessment on the possibility of using the kitchen from Tuesday (3). The resumption of operation, therefore, still depends on the verification of the space conditions after the improvements.

The City Council also informed that the School Food Sector will investigate the case and any responsibility for the irregularities found. “In parallel, the School Food Sector will investigate the case and any responsibilities regarding the verified non-conformities,” the Secretariat said.

Councilwoman Reports Request for Monitoring

In an interview with BnT Online, the president of the CPI of Outsourcing, councillor Nurse Marisleidy Rama, stated that she sent a letter on Wednesday requesting the presence of Vigilância Sanitária, after witnessing the conditions of the kitchen.

The parliamentarian also released images of the surveillance on social networks. According to her report, the school management supported the action from the beginning, and a prosecutor followed the work. Marisleidy highlighted that the cleaning and training services are outsourced and evaluated that this model brings difficulties for the monitoring by the unit management.

Case integrates research on outsourcing

The situation now integrates the investigations of the ICC, which investigates possible irregularities in the execution of the contracts for food, cleaning and conservation of the municipal schools of Ponta Grossa. In addition to the conditions found in the kitchen, the investigation seeks to clarify how the contracted services are monitored and what measures are adopted in the face of failures.

The ban was restricted to the kitchen. On Thursday, the students received food from other spaces, while the prohibited environment awaits interventions and evaluation for eventual reopening.
