Collision between bus and Fiorino leaves driver injured on PRC-466
Accident on PRC-466 in Manoel Ribas involved a bus and Fiorino on Tuesday (6) and left a driver with moderate injuries.
An accident on the PRC-466 in Manoel Ribas left a driver with moderate injuries on Tuesday morning. The frontal collision between a bus and a Fiat Fiorino took place around 6:30 am, at km 142.2 of the highway, in the stretch that connects Manoel Ribas to Ivaiporã.
According to information from the Road Police Battalion (BPRv), the bus involved in the accident is a Volvo/Marcopolo Paradiso, with plates from Londrina. The vehicle followed the PRC-466 in the direction of Manoel Ribas–Ivaipora when it was involved in the collision with Fiorino, which was travelling in the opposite direction.
The bus driver, a 40-year-old man, was not injured. At least four passengers were also in the vehicle and, according to police records, none of them were injured.
Driver of Fiorino was taken to hospital
Fiat Fiorino, registered in Apucarana, was driven by a 43-year-old man. He suffered injuries classified as moderate as a result of the impact.
The victim received on-site care and was referred by a team from the Mobile Emergency Service (Samu) to the Ivaiporã Hospital.
According to the Road Police, the accident on the PRC-466 in Manoel Ribas also caused material damage to the two vehicles involved.
Vehicles have been released
After attending to the occurrence and the procedures carried out by the police team, the vehicles were released at the same place to those responsible.
The record indicates that the bus was normally traveling in the direction of Ivaipora when, upon reaching km 142.2, it ended up being involved in the frontal accident with Fiorino that was going in the opposite direction.
The exact circumstances that caused the collision were not detailed in the bulletin released by BPRv.
The incident was attended by the Paraná Military Police, through the Specialized Police Command (CPE), Road Police Battalion and 5th State Road Police Company team.
The section of the PRC-466 where the accident occurred is between the municipalities of Manoel Ribas and Ivaiporã, in the central region of Paraná.
