Coritiba beats Vitória and returns to victory after seven games: 2 to 0
Paranaense team breathes easier in the battle against relegation

In the game that ended the 33rd round of the Brazilian Championship, Coritiba won Vitória 2-0 on Saturday (31), in the Couto Pereira, gaining breath in the fight against the relegation and moving away from the group of the last four placed.
The Paraná team accumulated seven games without victory and now adds 42 points, six more than the first club within the Z-4, the Corinthians. Vitória, who now lives a brief fast of four games without triumphs, is the 14th, with 38.
With two draws and five losses in the previous seven games, Coxa had a nervous first half, of several chances created but not converted. In one of them, after defending goalkeeper Lucas Arcanjo, the ball hit the crossbar and was pushed away by the defense practically on top of the line.
In the second half, the Paraná team, commanded interimly by Guilherme Bossle after the resignation of Fernando Seabra, finally managed to turn the domain into an advantage.
In the 13th minute, Pedro Rocha took advantage of Sebastián Gómez's long kick rebound to open the scoreboard.
Ten minutes later, the goal that secured the three points came with Tinga, who was well positioned in the small area when Tiago Cóser headed for the middle after collecting a corner.
The result relieved the drama of Coritiba but maintains that of Vitória, who has not yet won as a visitor in the entire Brazilian Championship of 2026.
Relying on the strength of the fans in Barradão, the Bahian Rubro-Negro tries to beat Fluminense on Friday (5). Coritiba enters the field three days before, visiting the International in Beira-Rio.
