Firefighters control fire in truck on PR-466 highway in Guarapuava
Fire in truck on PR-466 mobilized firefighters in Guarapuava on Wednesday night (29). No casualties.
A fire in a truck on PR-466, in Guarapuava, mobilized teams of the Fire Department on Tuesday night (29). The occurrence was recorded at around 7:50 p.m., at km 244+400 of the highway, in the stretch between Guarapuava and Turvo.
According to information passed on by the Paraná Military Police, through the Specialized Police Command (CPE), Road Police Battalion (BPRv) and the 5th Company, the case was attended by the State Road Police team.
The vehicle involved in the fire was a Volvo/FH 440 truck, with plates from Guarapuava, which transited the highway along with a Guerra semi-trailer, also located in the municipality.
According to the data collected at the site, the vehicles followed the PRC-466 in the direction of Turvo to Guarapuava when the driver noticed that the second vehicle had started a fire.
The driver, a 34-year-old man, tried to control the flames but could not contain the fire. Firefighting teams were activated and were on the scene to carry out the service of the occurrence.
Despite the scare, the fire did not leave people injured. The driver of the Volvo/FH 440 left unharmed.
The circumstances that caused the fire to start were not reported. The incident was registered as a casualty-free accident by the team responsible for the care.
