Flávio Bolsonaro gets more than double the votes of Lula in Ponta Grossa
Flávio Bolsonaro in Ponta Grossa received 117,846 votes against 56,136 from Lula. See the local numbers and the comparison with the national result.

Flávio Bolsonaro in Ponta Grossa finished the first round of the 2026 Elections with an expressive advantage over Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. In the municipality, the candidate of the PL received 117,846 votes, while Lula, of the PT, added 56,136 votes.
According to the results of Justiça Eleitoral, Flávio Bolsonaro received 59.42% of the valid votes for president in Ponta Grossa. Lula recorded 28.30%.
The difference between the two candidates in the municipality was 61,710 votes. In practice, Flávio received approximately 2.1 times the amount of votes obtained by Lula among the electorate of Ponta Grossa.
In all, Ponta Grossa counted 198,330 valid votes for president. There were also 4,708 blank votes and 4,309 null votes.
Ponta Grossa had greater difference than Brazil
The performance of Flávio Bolsonaro in Ponta Grossa was considerably above the percentage achieved by the candidate in the national result.
In Brazil, Flávio Bolsonaro finished the first round in the lead, with approximately 56.1 million votes, corresponding to 47.03% of the valid votes. Lula came in second with approximately 53.88 million votes, or 45.16%.
The two candidates will contest the second round of the presidential election, scheduled for October 25, 2026.
In the comparison between Ponta Grossa and the national result, Flávio Bolsonaro performed in the municipality 12.39 percentage points higher than that obtained in the country as a whole.
Lula presented a reverse movement. While it reached 45.16% in Brazil, it stood at 28.30% in Ponta Grossa, a difference of 16.86 percentage points below its national vote.

Flávio Bolsonaro (PL): 117,846 votes — 59.42%
Lula (PT): 56.136 votes — 28.30%
The difference of more than 61 thousand votes shows that the electorate of Ponta Grossa presented a more pronounced preference for Flávio Bolsonaro than observed on the national stage.
National outcome leads to second round election
In Brazil’s result, the dispute was significantly more balanced. Flávio Bolsonaro finished the first round with 47.03%, while Lula reached 45.16%. The Justiça Eleitoral confirmed the two candidates in the second round.
With the closure of the first round, attention is now turned to October 25, when voters will return to the polls to choose the president of the Republic.
