Thirty women have completed, in the last week, the Chair of Empowerment and Female Entrepreneurship at Ponta Grossa, a free training held on October 7, 8 and 9, at Cine-Teatro Ópera. The initiative sought to strengthen economic autonomy, self-confidence and female protagonism.

The training was promoted through a partnership between Prefeitura de Ponta Grossa, through the Department of Women, the State University of the Midwest (Unicentro) and the Secretariat of State of Women, Racial Equality and Elderly of Paraná (SEMIPI).

Training seeks to increase women's autonomy

During the three days of activities, the participants had access to content focused on personal and professional development, with special attention to entrepreneurship and the construction of financial independence.

The Chair’s proposal is to offer tools that can contribute to women expanding their income generation opportunities and developing greater security in decision-making.

Economic autonomy is also considered an important tool for women who face contexts of vulnerability, by expanding the possibilities of independence and building new life projects.

Training brought together 30 participants

According to Bruna Balsano, director of the Women’s Department of Ponta Grossa, the training was also marked by the exchange of experiences between the participants.

“It was three afternoons of a lot of exchange, in which each participant taught and learned at the same time. Our commitment is to continue expanding initiatives like this, so that more and more women in Ponta Grossa have opportunities to grow and become protagonists of their own stories.”

The implementation of the Chair integrates the actions developed in the municipality aimed at promoting the rights of women and encouraging qualification and entrepreneurship.

After completing the training, the 30 participants will have new knowledge and tools to develop professional projects, seek alternative income and strengthen their own initiatives in the labor market.
