GOTRAN seizes car with cloning signs and arrests woman in Ponta Grossa
Stolen vehicle in Ponta Grossa was seized by GOTRAN during a stop in Uvaranas neighborhood; woman was arrested and the case remains under investigation.

A cloned vehicle in Ponta Grossa was seized by the Transit Operations Group (GOTRAN) on Monday morning, during an approach held at Avenida Carlos Cavalcanti, in the Uvaranas neighborhood. The action ended with the driver’s arrest after the team identified signs of tampering with the vehicle’s identification data.
According to information passed on by GOTRAN, the occurrence began during patrol carried out by the team, when the monitoring system Olho Vivo issued an alert about a Hyundai / HB20, black, with suspicion of cloning.
Based on the information received by the system, the agents located the vehicle and carried out the approach. During the inspection, several inconsistencies were found in the identification elements of the car.
Among the irregularities found was the reading of the QR Code of the plate, which presented the message “STAMMING NOT FOUND”. In addition, the team found evidence of change in chassis recording and divergence in engine numbering compared to official records.
The identification of a cloned vehicle reinforces the importance of the use of monitoring technologies in combating crimes related to tampering and irregular circulation of automobiles.
The Live Eye system has assisted security forces in locating suspicious vehicles, allowing a faster response of police teams and contributing to the identification of possible crimes.
Upon confirmation of the irregularities, the driver received a voice of arrest and the car was seized. The woman and the vehicle were referred to the Civil Police Station of Ponta Grossa, where the legal procedures were carried out.
