Inscriptions for 50,000 Fies vacancies end this Tuesday (3)

Applications for the remaining vacancies of Fies 2026 end on Tuesday (3). In total, the Ministry of Education (MEC) provides 50,000 opportunities for students who wish to finance undergraduate courses in private institutions of higher education. The deadline also applies to applicants from Ponta Grossa and other Campos Gerais cities who meet the program requirements.

The registration process is free and must be carried out exclusively by the Single Portal for Access to Higher Education, using a Gov.br account.

The opportunities refer to the second half of 2026 and represent a new possibility for those who wish to enter or continue their studies in higher education through student funding.

Who can participate in Fies 2026?

To compete for one of the remaining vacancies, candidates must meet the criteria established by the Ministry of Education.

Among the main requirements are:

Have participated in the National Exam of the Ensino Médio (Enem) from 2010;

Have achieved a minimum average of 450 points in the five exam tests;

Not having zeroed the writing;

Not having performed the Enem in the condition of coach;

Possessing gross monthly family income per person of up to three minimum wages;

To be able to meet the minimum attendance required by the educational institution in the second half of 2026.

One of the selection steps will also verify if the candidate has academic conditions to follow the activities of the chosen course.

Fies Social reserves half of the vacancies

Of the 50,000 opportunities available, 50% are reserved for students who meet the Fies Social criteria.

The modality serves candidates with monthly family income per person of up to half a minimum wage and updated registration in the Single Register for Social Programs of the Federal Government (Cadúnico).

For this analysis, the cadastral information updated until October 8, 2026 will be considered.

Students pre-selected in this modality may apply for funding of up to 100% of the educational charges, according to the rules of the program.

How to register at Fies?

Those interested must access the Single Portal for Access to Higher Education, enter the Fies area and authenticate with the Gov.br account.

Then, you will need to fill in the requested information and select the course, institution and shift options available in the system.

It is important to check all the data before finalizing the registration, especially the information related to family income and academic training.

When is the result?

According to the schedule released by the MEC, the result of the chamada única is scheduled for November 16, 2026.

Pre-selected candidates must validate their information at the educational institution on November 17 and 18.

The call for students for the waiting list is scheduled to take place between November 25 and 30.

The Fund for Student Financing is an initiative of the Federal Government aimed at facilitating access to undergraduate degrees in private institutions that meet the evaluation criteria of the Ministry of Education.

For students of Ponta Grossa and Campos Gerais, the guideline is to consult the courses and institutions participating directly in the official system, as the availability of places varies according to the registered offer.
