Ivaí takes leadership in Copa AMCG and Ipiranga enters the semifinal battle
Ivaí takes the lead in Copa AMCG Football after defeating Palmeira. Ipiranga also wins and enters the semifinal race. Check the schedule.
The dispute for the spots in the semi-finals of the Copa AMCG Football was even more hectic after the results of the round on Sunday (20). Ivaí beat Palmeira 1-0 and took the lead of the South Key, while Ipiranga won its first victory in the competition by overtaking Triumph’s São João by 3-1.
With the results, Ivaí and Palmeira share the first position in number of points, while Ipiranga and São João do Triunfo follow in the dispute for the classification. Only the top two of each key advance to the semi-finals of the 10th edition of the tournament.
Ivaí wins direct confrontation and takes the lead
Ivaí won an important victory in the qualifying contest by defeating Palmeira 1-0. The goal of the match was scored by Bruno Padilha, guaranteeing three points for the team.
With the result, Ivaí reached six points, the same score as Palmeira, but took the lead of Chave Sul for having won the direct confrontation between the teams.
Palmeira, who also adds six points, now occupies the second place and remains in the qualifying zone for the semi-finals.
Ipiranga wins first victory and enters the contest
At the José Izaias Blum Stadium, the Ipiranga won the São João of Triumph by 3 to 1 and won their first three points in the Copa AMCG of Football.
The goals of the home team were scored by Gerê, Petinho and Tico. Mateus discounted for the São João of Triumph.
The victory placed the Ipiranga in the third position of the South Key, overtaking the opponent by the criterion of direct confrontation.
The São João of Triumph remains with three points, now in fourth place. The two teams continue to compete for one of the spots in the semi-finals.
The Reserve, which has not scored in the competition, occupies the fifth position of the key.

The match between Jaguariaíva and Telêmaco Borba, which was also scheduled for last Sunday (20), was postponed.
According to the coordination of AMCG Esportes, a new date for the confrontation will be announced later.
The 10th Copa AMCG of Football is promoted by the Association of Municipalities of Campos Gerais (AMCG), through AMCG Esportes. The competition brings together teams from different municipalities of the region and seeks to strengthen the integration between the cities through sport.
