Man caught for sexual harassment of teenager in Ipiranga
Civil Police arrested 36-year-old suspect after reports of sexual harassment of teenagers in Ipiranga. Deputy explained the case.
The Civil Police of Ipiranga carried out the arrest in flagrante of a 36-year-old man suspected of practicing sexual harassment against adolescents in the Central Square of the municipality. The incident was recorded after the victims searched the police station accompanied by relatives and a guardian counselor.
According to the Civil Police, after receiving the information, the teams began diligence to locate the suspect. The man was found in the vicinity of the indicated place and received a voice of arrest.
After the arrest, the suspect was referred to the prison system, where he remains at the disposal of the justice system.
In a video released by the Civil Police, the delegate Ingrid Priotto explained the details of the occurrence and stressed the importance of situations involving sexual harassment to be denounced for legal measures to be taken.
The delegate also highlighted the role of the protection network, with the participation of family members and the Guardian Council, in the care of victims and in the forwarding of complaints.
The Civil Police directs that cases of sexual violence or harassment be reported to the authorities so that they can be investigated.
