Ponta Grossa opens 20 spots for cultural scholarships of R$ 1,100 in the Satélite Cultural Program. Applications are due by October 9.
The Prefeitura de Ponta Grossa opened on Monday (21) the applications for 20 cultural grants of the Cultural Satellite Program. The selection process seeks students-scholars to act as cultural articulators in different regions of the municipality, with activities of community mobilization, workshops and artistic experiences.
According to the notice, the program will make available R$ 242,750.20 for scholarships. Each selected will receive R$ 1,103.41 per month, considering the fulfillment of the planned activities and without unjustified faults. The scholarship has an initial duration of 11 months and may be extended for up to 12 months, depending on budget availability and performance evaluation.
The 20 vacancies are initially divided into five segments: four for crafts, four for visual arts, four for dance, four for theater and four for music. The notice allows the vacancies to be redistributed between the segments if there are not enough qualified candidates in any of the areas.
What the scholarship will do
The cultural articulators must act directly in the territories served by the program. Among the attributions are the cultural mapping of the communities, mobilization of residents to participate in workshops, proposal and realization of artistic activities, production of records and reports and participation in meetings and formations promoted by the Municipal Secretariat of Culture.
The minimum load is 12 hours per week, 10 hours for field activities, workshops, experiences and community mobilization, and two hours for planning, meetings, travel and reporting.
The notice also sets an initial 90-day follow-up period. In this period, the scholarship holder must form a class with at least 10 participants regularly enrolled to ensure continuity of participation in the program.
Registrations for scholarships
Applications began on Monday (21) and can be made until 12:00 p.m. on October 9, 2026. The candidate must submit the required documentation in the notice within the established deadline.
The selection process will be valid until December 31, 2028, while the scholarship will initially be granted for a period of 11 months, with the possibility of extension according to the rules established by the Municipal Secretariat of Culture.
