The deputy mayor of Guamiranga, municipality located in the Campos Gerais do Paraná region, was denounced by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Paraná (MPPR) for three crimes after a confusion registered in public buildings of the city. The complaint, filed on Thursday (29) by the Prosecutor's Office of Imbituva, involves charges of qualified damage to public property, contempt and threat.
According to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the events took place on October 20, involving the Pronto Atendimento Municipal and the headquarters of the Guamiranga Prefecture. The episode began when the deputy mayor accompanied a patient to the health unit.
Door torn and equipment damaged
According to the counting of the MPPR, after accompanying the patient to the medical care room, the deputy mayor would have kicked and ripped a door equipped with an electronic lock.
The defendant then reportedly left the pronto atendimento and followed to the City Hall. In the planning sector, it would have caused further damage to the municipal heritage.
According to the complaint, the deputy mayor kicked a table and knocked down computer equipment, including monitor, mouse and speakers.
Health Secretary was threatened.
The investigations indicate that the deputy mayor returned to the Pronto Atendimento Municipal after the episodes of predation.
At that time, according to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, he allegedly disobeyed and threatened the municipal health secretary of Guamiranga. The situation would have occurred in front of public servants and military police who were on site to attend the occurrence.

MP asks for compensation for moral damages
In addition to criminal liability, the Public Prosecutor’s Office requested that the courts set minimum values for the reparation of moral losses resulting from the events.
For the municipal secretary of Health, pointed as a victim of threats and contempt, the body asks for a minimum compensation equivalent to five minimum wages.
The MPPR also requires a reparation of at least ten minimum wages for collective moral damage, considering the reflections of the episodes involving the heritage and municipal public services.

The defendant is Igor Pontarolo. In a previous BnT Online report, the defense claimed that the situation occurred during a medical emergency and challenged the charges.
