School of samba from PG promotes social action for children
Academics from Osvaldo Cruz hold a day of games, entertainment and fun in Olarias neighborhood
In the afternoon of Saturday (31), in the Campo do Olinda, in the neighborhood of Olarias, the samba school Académicos de Osvaldo Cruz held a social action that gathered dozens of children of the community. The initiative provided moments of leisure, integration and joy, bringing together various recreational activities and free distribution of food and toys.
During the program, the children participated in games and sports activities, including football, volleyball and table tennis, as well as having fun in trampoline, inflatable toys and face paint. The action also featured the distribution of toys, sweets, hot dogs and popcorn, making the afternoon even more special for the little ones.
One of the great highlights of the programming was the presence of the palhaço Picolé, which brought a lot of animation, games and clowning to the children. With relaxed presentations and moments of interaction, the artist contributed to make the event even more fun, pulling smiles and providing special moments to the families present.
According to the president of Académicos de Osvaldo Cruz, Ricardo Sartori, the initiative reinforces the commitment of the association with the community, demonstrating that the school’s performance goes beyond cultural presentations and carnival parades. “Our samba school doesn’t exist just for Carnival. We want to be present in the community, promoting social actions and contributing to bring joy to people. Samba is also union, solidarity and commitment to society,” he emphasizes.
Bruna Santos, Ricardo’s wife and also a representative of the samba school, highlights the satisfaction of participating in initiatives aimed at children. To see the smile and the brightness in the eyes of children is something that has no price. Every joke, every toy delivered and every moment of fun make it all worthwhile. It’s a huge happiness to be able to provide such a special afternoon,” he says.
Created this year, Académicos de Osvaldo Cruz seeks to strengthen its presence in Ponta Grossa, combining the appreciation of samba and popular culture with the development of initiatives that promote integration and approach to the community.
