Serious Frontal Collision Leaves Partially Blocked Traffic in Ponta Grossa

A frontal collision involving two cars was recorded late Wednesday afternoon at Rua Rio Cavernoso in the Neves region at Ponta Grossa. The accident occurred in the vicinity of the train bridge and the Federal University of Technology of Paraná (UTFPR). According to preliminary information, the two vehicles collided frontally. Images sent to the Portal BnT Online show the cars being heavily damaged, with debris scattered around the track.
Firefighters were called to respond to the incident. The first information indicates that a person would be locked up, that is, unable to get out of one of the vehicles without the help of rescue teams. So far, there is no official confirmation of the number of victims or the severity of injuries.
Partially blocked traffic
Due to the accident, traffic on the Rua Rio Cavernoso is partially blocked. Images recorded at the scene show a line of vehicles waiting for the release of the road. Drivers who need to pass through the Neves region, especially in the vicinity of the UTFPR, should redouble their attention and, if possible, look for alternative routes.
