No paper voting recorded; find out more

In the third bulletin of the day, the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) reported that 1,544 electronic ballot boxes needed to be replaced by 3.30 pm nationwide on Sunday (4) of the first round of elections.
The number corresponds to 0.28% of the 499.248 ballot boxes used in this year's vote. Another 50,038 units are still available for replacement if necessary.
The Justiça Federal does not detail the reasons that led to the replacement of the ballot boxes. In general, the exchange occurs due to operational failures.
In the event that even the replaced electronic ballot box fails, the legislation provides that, as a last resort, a paper ballot is adopted. This was not necessary in this year’s elections.
On Sunday, more than 158 million voters are eligible to vote for the positions of president, governor, senator, federal deputy and state or district deputy.
