Actor Keegan Allen, best known for playing Toby Cavanaugh in the series "Pretty Little Liars," was the victim of an armed robbery in West Hollywood, California. In a video shared on his Instagram profile, he reported that the criminals took his watch after hitting him on the head several times. The case resonated on social media and rekindled the debate on security in the region.
A dramatic story on Instagram
In the video, Allen said the attackers threatened him with death because of the watch. "West Hollywood is no longer safe. I was robbed under the aim of a gun and a knife by two young men who threatened to kill me because of my watch, and they would have done it! God said no tonight. Minha vida for a watch," the actor said. The publication quickly gained repercussions among fans and co-stars.
Security camera footage, apparently recorded in a parking lot, shows two robbers approaching Allen as he opened the car door. They appear threatening the actor and pointing guns at him before the assault. The video reinforces the climate of violence described by the actor and highlights the speed of criminal action.
Career marked by success on TV
Keegan Allen appeared on the American television series "Pretty Little Liars" between 2010 and 2017. His character Toby Cavanaugh had a love interest in Spencer Hastings, played by Troian Bellisario. Allen's assault is not an isolated case in West Hollywood. The region, known for its nightlife and celebrity concentration, has seen an increase in crimes against heritage in recent years. Residents and visitors report feeling insecure, especially in parking lots and less crowded areas.
Repercussions and debate on security
After the video was published, fans and colleagues expressed support for the actor. Many commented on the need for more effective public safety measures in the region. Allen’s statement — “Minha vida for a clock” — synthesizes the sense of vulnerability to urban violence.
The case also raises discussions about the display of valuables in public areas. Security experts recommend avoiding displaying items such as luxury watches, jewelry and mobile phones in risky locations. The guidance is to redouble attention when entering and leaving vehicles, at which time the victims are usually approached.
