Capal marks presence at abcConecta Show with focus on innovation
Event held in Ponta Grossa promoted discussions on technology, management, climate and new strategies for agricultural production.

Rural producers, agricultural professionals and researchers met on September 9 and 10 at Ponta Grossa at the abcConecta Show. Capal Cooperativa Agroindustrial, one of the maintainers of Fundação ABC, was present at the event that dealt with innovation in the field and technical contents such as: management with artificial intelligence, challenges of El Niño, management, phytosanitary profile and plantability and treatment of seeds innovation, in addition to promoting the exchange of experiences.
During the programming, the Cooperative was present with an institutional stand, relationship space and attendance to the cooperatives and visitors. The event also provided the members with the opportunity to know the results of the research developed by Fundação ABC, an institution that contributes to the work of the Department of Technical Assistance (DAT) Agricultural of the Cooperative. Based on these studies, the DAT offers technical guidance to the cooperatives at different stages of production, such as planting and management.
“Capal’s participation in the abcConecta Show brings the Fundação ABC co-operators and technical assistance even closer. In this environment, the cooperator connects directly to the institution, obtaining relevant data and boosting its development. The research of Fundação ABC serves as a pillar for Capal’s technical guidelines, and experiencing this technology in practice ensures an agile service to the producer, in addition to allowing visual follow-up in the demonstration fields,” highlights Alessandra Heuer, Communication and Marketing coordinator of the cooperative.
The program included lectures by renowned names in the sector, such as Guilherme Sanches, agricultural engineer, with a master’s degree, doctorate and postdoctoral degree from the main universities of São Paulo and specialist in Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, who spoke about “How can artificial intelligence help the producer in the management of the property?”.
Rodrigo Yoiti Tsukahara, Agronomist, Master and PhD in Agronomy, and specialization in Agricultural Technology and Irrigation, Eliana Fernandes Borsato, Agronomist and Master in Agronomy, the Area of Agriculture, were responsible for the lecture “From winter to summer: challenges in winter harvesting and summer planting in scenario of El Niño”.
The technical content was also present in the Arenas spaces, bringing together researchers from Fundação ABC to deal with management, phytosanitary profile, plantability and seed treatment.
