Car is abandoned after accident on PR-151 between Castro and Piraí do Sul
Accident on PR-151 in Castro involved a Polo and a pickup truck. Both drivers left the scene before the arrival of the Road Police.
A crash on the PR-151 in Castro involving a Volkswagen Polo and a pickup truck was recorded during the early hours of Saturday (10), in the stretch between Castro and Piraí do Sul, in the Campos Gerais. According to the State Road Police (PRE), the drivers of the two vehicles left the site before the arrival of the police team.
The occurrence occurred around 2h, at km 287.6 of PR-151, within the municipality of Castro. According to information from the Road Police Battalion (BPRv), the two vehicles went in the same direction of the highway, from Castro to Piraí do Sul.
Lateral collision on PR-151
According to the data collected by the police team, the Volkswagen Polo, with plates from Londrina, and an unidentified truck were involved in a lateral collision.
The accident caused material damage to the Pole. There was no record of victims.
By the time the road police arrived at the crash point, the truck had already left the scene. The driver of the Polo was also no longer on the road.
Polo was abandoned at the scene
Only the Volkswagen Polo remained on the stretch after the collision. The vehicle had to be removed from the PR-151 by a winch from the EPR dealership.
After removal, the car was referred to the Piraí do Sul Road Police Station.
Road Police reported that the driver of the Polo had not been identified during the initial attendance of the occurrence. The driver of the truck involved in the accident was also not identified.
Castro to Piraí do Sul
The place where the accident occurred on PR-151 in Castro is located on one of the main connecting stretches between the municipalities of Castro and Piraí do Sul, in the Campos Gerais.
Drivers who drive on the highway should keep an eye out especially during the early hours of the morning, when factors such as low visibility and less movement can increase the risks of accidents.
The incident was attended by the 5th Company of the Military Police Road Police Battalion of Paraná.
Despite the damage to the car, no one was injured in the accident.
