Elizabeth wants Mabel and Zampieri as representatives of Ponta Grossa with the State

The mayor of Ponta Grossa, Elizabeth Schmidt, stated in an interview with BnT Online that she intends to indicate Mabel Canto and Ricardo Zampieri as representatives of the municipality in the interlocution with the state government. According to her, the two names will be presented when the State requests the nomination of parliamentarians.

“Mabel and Zampieri will now be our official representatives,” he said. Elizabeth said she contacted both elected and unelected candidates to congratulate them on the campaign and thank them for their work. At the time of the interview, however, he said he had not yet personally talked to Mabel and Zampieri about this representation.

The mayor explained that she intends to forward the names of the two by way of office, when there is a request from the state government. The declaration signals how the municipal administration intends to organize the political articulation to seek investments and follow Ponta Grossa demands.

Partnering with Aliel Machado

In the federal sphere, Elizabeth stressed that she intends to continue to count on the deputado Aliel Axe. During the interview, he attributed to the parliamentary important participation in the allocation of resources for the city and for the City Hall.

According to the mayor, the collaboration of deputies and senators will be necessary to enable projects in different areas. She also stated that she intends to look for other MPs who have received votes in Ponta Grossa, including those who have already contributed to investments in the municipality.

The expectation presented by Elizabeth is to expand the participation of political representatives in the search for state and federal funds.

Projects await resources

Speaking about the priorities of the administration, the mayor said that the municipality has projects for health, education, meio ambiente and infrastructure, but depends on funding to execute part of the proposals.

Among the demands cited are the duplication of roads, interventions in the connection Costa Rica, projects of Unilivre and investments in paving. Elizabeth also mentioned the need for support for improvements at the airport.

According to her, the existence of prepared projects allows the City Hall to present demands to parliamentarians and the state government in search of resources.

Articulation after the elections

Elizabeth argued that the closure of the electoral period opens space for a joint action in favor of the municipality. In the assessment of the mayor, the rapprochement between the City Hall, the state government and the elected representatives can contribute to accelerate investments.
