Identified woman who died in a rollover on PR-438, in Ponta Grossa

Maria da Luz Pereira, 56, was identified as the fatal victim of the rollover registered on Sunday morning (11), in PR-438, in Ponta Grossa. Natural of the municipality and the home, she died still on the spot after the vehicle in which she was leaving the track and capsizing in the stretch between Guaragi and the junction with PR-151.

According to information from the State Road Police (PRE), linked to the Road Police Battalion (BPRv), the accident occurred at km 59 of PR-438. The vehicle involved was a Fiat Palio, with Ponta Grossa plates.

The vehicle went off the track and capsized.

According to the data collected by the teams on site, the car was traveling along the PR-438 in the direction of Guaragi–Ponta Grossa. When he reached km 59, the driver lost control of the steering. The vehicle then left the track and capsized on the left side of the highway, in an area located below the track level.

Maria da Luz Pereira was a passenger in the car. With the overturning, she was pressed between the vehicle and a ravine.

Teams from the Mobile Emergency Service (Samu) and Siate were called in to provide care to the victims. Despite the mobilization of the relief teams, the death of Maria da Luz Pereira was still at the scene of the accident.

The driver of the vehicle, a 67-year-old man, suffered injuries considered moderate. He received the first visits and was subsequently referred to UPA Santa Paula, in Ponta Grossa, where he would undergo a medical evaluation.

Velocity and burial in Guaragi

According to information from Serviço Funerário Municipal, Maria da Luz Pereira is being veiled in the Municipal Chapel of Guaragi.

The burial is scheduled for this Monday (12), at 3 p.m., in Guaragi Cemetery, in Ponta Grossa.

The identification of the victim occurs after the accident mobilize emergency teams and authorities responsible for the care and procedures after the overturning in PR-438.

The section where the accident occurred connects the Guaragi region and the junction with PR-151.
