In less than 12 hours, two men are arrested at Ponta Grossa Central Terminal

Two arrests in the Terminal Central de Ponta Grossa were made by the Military Police on Friday, after men with open arrest warrants were identified by the Vivo Eye video monitoring system. The occurrences occurred at different times of the day, one in the morning and another during the night.

According to police records, the two approaches occurred after information captured by the cameras was passed on to teams operating in the central region of the city.

First arrest took place in the morning.

The first occurrence was recorded at around 11:13 a.m. in Avenida Doutor Vicente Machado, where the Terminal Central of the public transport is located.

A team from the Proximity Police received information that a man had been identified by the cameras of the Live Eye system inside the terminal. From the alert, police intensified patrols in the area and located the suspect.

The 44-year-old man was approached and, during the personal review, no illicit objects were found.

The consultation with the police systems, however, confirmed the existence of a civil arrest warrant against him, issued by the 4th Family and Succession Court of the Comarca of Uberlândia, in Minas Gerais.

According to the record of the occurrence, the warrant is valid until August 28, 2027 and is related to a food debt of R $ 51,965.51.

After being informed about the court order and his rights, the man was referred to the Hildebrando de Souza prison unit, in Ponta Grossa. According to the military police, there was no need for handcuffs.

Second man was located at night

The second of the arrests on the Terminal Central de Ponta Grossa took place around 10:16 pm.

During Operation Omnis, a Shock team received information from the Military Police Operations Center that another man had been identified by the Live Eye system cameras on the terminal platform.

According to the PM, there was an arrest warrant against him related to article 155 of the Penal Code, which deals with the crime of theft.

The police went to the terminal and located a man sitting on a bench with the characteristics informed by the central.

He was approached and searched. Again, no illicit objects were found with the suspect at the time of approach.

After consulting the system of the Secretariat of State for Public Security (SESP), the team confirmed the existence of the arrest warrant issued by the Ponta Grossa Penal Execution Court.

The man received a voice from prison and was taken to the Hildebrando de Souza unit for the procedures planned.

Cameras assisted in both approaches

In the two occurrences recorded on Friday, the information passed on by the Olho Vivo video monitoring system helped the police teams identify and locate the men.

Although the approaches occurred in the same place and on the same day, the cases have no relation to each other. One of the warrants corresponded to a civil arrest related to the payment of maintenance, while the second was related to a court order linked to the crime of theft.
