Motorcyclist Injured After Collision With Truck On PR-151 In Carambeí

An accident on the PR-151 in Carambeí left a 25-year-old motorcyclist with moderate injuries early Saturday. The rear collision occurred at km 315.7 of the highway, on the stretch between Ponta Grossa and Carambeí, and involved the motorcycle and a truck that was not identified.

According to information from the Road Police Battalion (BPRv) of the Paraná Military Police, the accident happened around 0:15 am.

The information raised at the site indicates that the truck and the motorcycle were traveling along the PR-151 in the same direction, from Ponta Grossa to Carambeí. At km 315.7, the vehicles were involved in a rear collision.

Motorcyclist was taken to hospital

The 25-year-old motorcyclist suffered injuries considered moderate. After the on-site care, he was referred by an ambulance from the EPR dealership to Unimed General Hospital, in Ponta Grossa.

The Road Police did not provide details about the injuries presented by the victim or his health condition after entering the hospital unit.

The motorcycle could not be identified by the police. According to the incident report, the vehicle had been removed from the scene by relatives of the victim before the arrival of the police.

Truck did not stay on site

The truck involved in the PR-151 accident at Carambeí was also not identified. According to the BPRv, the vehicle did not remain in place after the collision.

Until the registration of the information released by the Road Police, there was no identification of the truck or its driver.

The incident was attended by the team of the Piraí do Sul Road Police Station, belonging to the 5th Company of the Road Police Battalion.

The exact circumstances that caused the collision should be clarified on the basis of the information gathered by the authorities responsible for dealing with the occurrence.
