Ponta Grossa opens registrations for farmers to provide food through PAA
PAA registrations open for family farmers and entities in Ponta Grossa. The program will have R$ 500 thousand for purchase and donation of food.

Prefeitura de Ponta Grossa has opened a public appeal to select family farmers who wish to provide food to the Food Acquisition Program (FAP) and entities who will be able to receive the products for free. The registrations follow until October 29th.
Public Call No. 01/2026 was published in the Official Gazette of the Municipality on Friday (16). The initiative is coordinated by the Municipal Secretariat of Family and Social Development (SMFDS), through the Superintendence of Food and Nutrition Security.
Ponta Grossa was authorized by the Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, Family and Fighting Hunger (MDS) to receive R$ 500,000 destined to the execution of the PAA in the modality Purchase with Simultaneous Donation.
In this format, food produced by family farming is purchased by the public authorities and subsequently destined free of charge to entities and equipment that serve people in situations of social vulnerability and food insecurity.
According to the municipal secretary of Family and Social Development, Camila Calisto Sanches, the program also contributes to move the local economy.
“The PAA has a double effect: it guarantees income for those who produce food in the field and brings fresh and quality food to those who need it most. It is R$ 500,000 that will circulate in the local economy and reach the table of people in a situation of food insecurity in Ponta Grossa”, he says.
Farmers can sell up to R$15,000 per year
Family farmers, agrarian reformers, artisanal fishermen, indigenous peoples, quilombolas and members of traditional peoples and communities can participate in the call.
To participate, it is necessary to have the National Register of Family Farming (CAF) active.
Each family unit will be able to market up to R$ 15,000 per year through the program.
The edict provides for the acquisition of 54 types of products, including fruits, vegetables, legumes, beans, fubá, brown sugar and jams. Prices follow the table of the National Supply Company (Conab) for the Paraná, with differentiated values for organic products.
The selection of suppliers will be carried out by scoring criteria. At least 50% of the participants must be women and 60% must be registered in the Single Register for Social Programs (Cadúnico).
The selected farmers will receive the payment directly from the MDS, through the Bank of Brazil card.
Entities can also participate
The call will also select the so-called receiving units, responsible for allocating food to the population served.
Public equipment of the social assistance network, such as CRAS, CREAS and Centro POP, can be registered, as well as non-profit entities with registration in force in the Municipal Council of Social Assistance (CMAS) and institutions registered in the Municipal Council of Food and Nutrition Security (Comsea).
Two-thirds of the food will go to units that prepare and serve meals. The rest will be sent to places that carry out the distribution of products in natura.
The entities themselves must withdraw the food at the Integrated Food Safety Center (CISA).
Superintendent of Food and Nutritional Safety Janeffer Desselman stresses that interested parties must check all the required documentation before enrolling.
“The notice prioritizes women farmers, families of Cadúnico, traditional peoples and those who produce here in Ponta Grossa. We ask those interested to read the notice carefully and bring all the documents, because there is no deadline to supplement later,” he guides.
How to register
Registration is free and must be made until October 29, on working days, from 8 am to 5 pm, at CISA, located at Rua Nicolau Kluppel Neto, 1665, at bairro Santa Paula.
The documentation provided for in the notice must be delivered in a single envelope, identified with the name of the call, registration category, name of the proponent, CPF or CNPJ and telephone for contact.
Doubts about the process can also be clarified directly in CISA.
The final result comes in November
After the closing of the registration, the analysis of the documents will be carried out between October 30 and November 4.
The preliminary result is expected to be published by November 5, in the Official Journal of the Municipality and on the website of the Secretariat of Family and Social Development.
