Ponta Grossa plans mobile dental unit worth R$ 399 thousand

The Prefeitura de Ponta Grossa published the adhesion to a price record to acquire a mobile dental unit, in the value of R$ 399.380,26. The act appears in the edition of this Friday (25) of the Official Journal of the Municipality. The unit is intended for oral health procedures in itinerant actions.

The acquisition is foreseen by means of the act no 122/2024, managed by the Ministry of Health. The supplier indicated in the document is IVG Brasil Ltda. The publication describes a van type vehicle adapted to function as a dental office.

According to the term, the unit will have dental chair, reflector, air compressor, suction system and autoclave for sterilization. The space will also have a clinical sink, cabinets, air conditioning and electrical and hydraulic installations suitable for the operation of the equipment.

The structure was specified to allow clinical, preventive and educational care in oral health outside of a fixed unit. The document also provides reservoirs for clean water and for collecting water used during the procedures.

When do the attendances begin?

The Official Gazette records the acquisition and delivery planned for the unit, but does not inform the delivery time, date of start of the services, route of neighborhoods or criteria for access to the population. These details depend on confirmation by the Municipal Health Secretariat. Therefore, the publication of the act does not yet mean that the mobile office is already in operation.

The measure may expand the possibility of bringing dental services to different regions of Ponta Grossa. The scope of the initiative, however, can only be known after the definition of how the vehicle will be used and which teams will do the services.
