With Jota Quest, Dia de Castro takes place on October 30, 31 and November 1

The 18th Festa do Dia de Castro has already set new dates: from October 30 to November 1, the event will be open to the public for free at the Dario Macedo Exhibition Park. After the postponement of the programming initially planned for September, due to the heavy rains and the emergency situation faced by the municipality, the event returns with a new grid of national shows and the other planned attractions.

Among the news is the presentation of the band Jota Quest, on Friday, October 30. On Saturday, October 31, it will be the turn of gospel singer Nívea Soares. The duo Antony & amp; Gabriel remains on the schedule and takes to the stage on November 1st, Sunday before the holidays. All shows are scheduled to start at 9 p.m.

The change was necessary because some of the artists initially hired already had appointments scheduled for the new dates. The City Council reorganized the artistic programming to keep three days of celebration, with attractions of different musical styles and for varied audiences.

Jota Quest opens the programming

With more than 30 years of career, the mining band Jota Quest opens the musical programming of the party on the 30th with a repertoire full of Brazilian pop-rock hits. The group is known for songs that have spanned generations, such as “Better Days”, “Only Today”, “Easy”, “The Sun”, “Greater Love” and “From Your Side”.

Formed by Rogério Flausino, Marco Túlio Lara, Márcio Buzelin, PJ and Paulinho Fonseca, the band has sold more than seven million copies, two Latin Grammy Awards and more than three thousand performances in Brazil and abroad. The group has also performed four times on the Rock in Rio World Stage and has surpassed the mark of one billion reproductions and visualizations in the digital environment.

In 2026, the Jota Quest celebrates three decades of career with new musical projects, including an album honoring Tim Maia. The performance in Castro will be an opportunity for the audience to sing together hits that have marked the history of the band and continue to be present on playlists of different generations.

Nívea Soares brings music and praise to the public

On Saturday, October 31, the program welcomes the singer and minister of praise Nívea Soares, one of the recognized names of Brazilian gospel music.

The artist gained national projection as a member of the Ministry Before the Throne, a group in which she participated until 2004, and built a solo career marked by worship songs and Christian messages. Throughout his career, he launched several musical works and took his ministry to publics in Brazil and other countries.

The Paraná duo conquered national space from videos published on the internet and became known for the raw sertanejo style, with repertoire that combines references of the field, romanticism and animated music.

Among the hits are “TCC”, “I Love You Ping”, “Your Father” and “The Rock Has Won”. The duo also strengthens their connection with the agribusiness public through music that values rural life and the identity of Sertanejo.
