Castro hosts meeting to strengthen industrial development in the Campos Gerais

Castro receives this Thursday (8) the 2nd Meeting between Secretaries – Dialogues for Regional Industrial Development, an initiative aimed at strengthening the industry and building joint strategies between the municipalities of the Campos Gerais.

The meeting will be held from 10am, in the SENAC Auditorium, and is promoted by the Association of Municipalities of Campos Gerais (AMCG), in partnership with Sebrae and the Fiep System.

The program continues the discussions initiated at the first meeting, bringing together municipal secretaries, leaders and representatives of partner entities to identify common demands and advance in the elaboration of proposals for regional economic development.

Integration between municipalities

The proposal is to broaden the articulation between the municipalities of the Campos Gerais and transform the challenges identified during the debates into actions capable of stimulating new investments, generating opportunities and strengthening the industry.

According to the president of AMCG and mayor of Sengés, Gerson Nunes, cooperation between municipalities is fundamental for the region to advance on common guidelines.

“The Campos Gerais region is very diverse and has great potential in several sectors. We have different segments that contribute to regional development and we need to always be attentive to new strategies,” he says.

For him, the exchange of experiences can also help in attracting technology, investments and new opportunities for municipalities.

Castro receives second edition

The mayor of Castro, Dr. Reinaldo Cardoso, emphasizes that the meeting allows to bring together the municipalities and entities involved in regional development.

“Each city has its particularities, but we also face many challenges in common. When we join forces, share experiences and build strategies together, we can expand opportunities,” he says.

The mayor also stresses that the integration between AMCG, Sebrae, Sistema Fiep and municipal administrations can contribute to stimulate new investments and strengthen the Campos Gerais industry.

Support for small industries

One of the focus of the initiative is to expand opportunities for micro and small companies linked to the industrial sector.

According to Sebrae consultant Joslaine Schimidt, the goal of this stage is to transform the regional articulation into concrete results for entrepreneurs.

“We want to strengthen micro and small industries, expand their competitiveness and connect them to the production chains and opportunities existing in Campos Gerais,” he says.

Permanent agenda

The holding of the second meeting also reinforces the intention of the entities to maintain a permanent agenda focused on regional industrial development.

The expectation is that, based on the demands presented by the municipalities, integrated actions will be defined to face common challenges and take advantage of economic growth opportunities in the Campos Gerais.
